Artist Statement
Kobi Israel's work is autobiographical in nature, investigating the remembrance of things past — empty landscapes, intimate encounters and touristic travelogues as backdrops for an inside quest and reflection. Still and moving images of masculinity, desire, exile and the self as witness.
